"First Light"

I often look for the space where memory and reality blur. In this piece, I wanted to capture the fragility of a moment before the day fully begins - where the light is blindingly soft, and the world feels weightless. I used washes of pale yellow and mauve to dissolve the canvas, allowing gravity to pull the paint in fluid drips, mimicking the unpredictability of emotion. Yet, look closely at the base, and you will see the scratched lines - my 'architectural notes' trying to find form in the chaos. It is a dialogue between the structure of my training and the surrender of my heart; a visual whisper that speaks of new beginnings.
